Sunday morning was a very early start for us today, not like us at all but it was all worth it for what we were going to be photographing! We were invited by our Friend Brian White from Circlework media down to Kukerin for the annual Creekbed and Burnout Championship which went on all long weekend.
The event started at 9am so a 6am leave was set ( and nearly met ) for the 3hr drive in Brian’s newly acquired Bug eye WRX , the scenery was full of miniature shrubs and plenty of sheep ( not one cow was seen ) and we arrived not far behind our schedule to a mess of mud and smoke.
The weather was a bit dicey with a few showers here and there but some shelter was found under a old sign which didn’t protect us from the onslaught of mudders thrashing through the pits with Both Brian and I ending up nearly as dirty as the entrants.
The event consisted of a bunch of beefed up four wheel drives, bikes and some sedans making their way through ditches of mud, throwing it all around and trying not to get bogged or flooded, aswell as the mud comp there is a burnout pad there too, unfortunately there wasn’t much in the way of photo access so we had to do through-the-fence shots.
Not our usual type of coverage that’s for sure but it was an awesome day none the less and we are keen to get more of this sort of stuff onto our screens in the future.
Big thanks for Brian White from Circlework media for the invite and trip down there, hope the interior of the rex isn’t too filthy 😉
