Kukerin creekbed and burnout comp 2015

by

Kukerin Creekbed and burnout comp 2015 started out looking better than the last few years in that it wasn’t raining on Saturday when we rocked up!! still it did rain a bit early Sunday morning but stopped by 8am which left the burnout pad wet, but they soon dried that up. the creekbed guys didn’t care as the

_DGE2238-1water was welcome as it looked a tad low compared to previous years but once they started i doubt anyone was worried, only cause many of the competitors were airborne most of the time!! this year i think they  were going harder than before as a few broke parts, rolled cars and just general mayhem along the creekbed. the burnout field was full but a few big hitters seemed to be missing from last year, never mind tho as others soon took over and ran with it smoking up the entire area is some cases!

As always it gets a tad cold down there and with the wind howling all day and the cloud cover looking _DGE1712-1like it was going to pour down any minute it made it more intense as you never knew when we would have to stop, but the rains never showed up again and the tarmac and creek were abused till the end…

All up it’s a good ol’ weekend away and as long as you bring lots of warm clothes and maybe some spare wood for your campfire you’ll never be bored.. or cold 😉

maybe next year we may have a car on the pad and one in the creekbed.. who knows!
