The event started at around 1pm with a practice session for anyone to refine their skills on the Bunbury speedway burnout pad , we have seen this used only once ourselves at the one night stand burnout competition organized by Richie Howlett and it is a great pad , especially during the daylight hours as the colour of the dirt and the cars look great
Running behind us was the tractorpullwa.com tractor pull demonstrations , some interesting tractors were on show including one that featured a supercharged drag motor running on methanol , for the people at home who haven’t seen what a tractor pull competition is all about , take 1 angry tractor and a “sled” trailor full of concrete , the tractor pulls the sled along a track which over a distance gets harder to pull , testing the power and torque of the tractor , it’s a sight to see and interesting to shoot when the tractors get a little loose at the finish line!
Finals took place under lights and finished at around 8:30ish giving us plenty of time to trek back to Perth , overall we shot over 400 photos which look awesome and can be viewed on Fully Automotive’s 16,000 strong photo gallery at http://photoshop.fullyautomotive.com
Thanks Krikke boys for the media access and see you all at the next comp at Barbagallo raceway!
