“Another event not to be missed on the car calendar is ‘Hot rods to Hell’ held at Deville’s pad in Nth Perth. This year is the 2nd event they’ve held so far and it’s growing substantially! They even got permission to block the road off outside so they could hold more cars! (still didn’t bring any of mine) unfortunately I got there too early, while everything was still being set up, but that’s ok, got some pics before the crowds set in. meet some friends again, as you do at shows. and talked till the bar opened 😉 with store holders inside the venue to offer up some amazing goods whether they be old records or clothes or even paintings and books plus you could order some delicious food and a beverage or two and sit in the lavish interior then you could head outside and let the chitlins have a ride on the jumpy castle or if you were up to it, the mechanical bull ride, even the magician was there again to wow them.
A few more stalls were outside with lots of art and old stuff you may need for that 50’s room in your home, plus even some spikey Cacti!!! Music was pumping from the back of the truck as it was last year and with the cars and crowd getting into it you could easily spend a few hours just hanging around. I didn’t stay long, pity as it was getting busier and the day grew long, hopefully next year I’ll bring a car and stay the day and relax while soaking up the nostalgic surrounds.”
