Classic and Awesome Rides show – 2nd December 2012

by

Classic and Awesome Rides show was on again at Trinity oval in Manning and although the amount of cars were down from last year, the quality was definitely still up there with any show in WA. and with the sun out in force that just made all the chrome shine that little bit more. The show also had a fair few trade stalls showing their wares from Shannons insurance and America west importers to a pinstriper, rare parts and some food vendors..not forgetting the bouncy castles for the kids to waste some energy on. entry fee was as usual small enough that you dont mind (meaning to can spend more on food and drinks as it did get hot out there!) and with a very laid back atmosphere you could easily spend a good deal of time browsing the cars or talking to a stall holder about some gear you may need or just chatting about that old car you used to own back in the day.

I just hope that people start to appreciate that although Perth is smaller than our eastern brethren, that doesn’t mean we can have fewer events to participate in. a friend of mine in Newcastle said there wasn’t a show anywhere for 200km this weekend…and we had at least 3!! if we neglect our smaller shows we will loose them.. and that cant be good for our sport. so clean your rides and enter them in a show, as long as your out there then we can all appreciate them.  DB.
