The 2013 Chrysler expo was held last weekend feb 10th, and the weather, like the cars on show, was hot! An expected high of 40c saw punters come in early to beat the heat and many finding shade in the grandstand or around the oval under the large trees, while taking in a visual feast of Aussie and U.S cars that made up the 110 odd cars that braved the heat (and there owners) to sit outside all day waiting for the throng to lavish admiration on them, this years theme was U.S muscle and they came out with glistening chrome and polished paint aplenty, some recent arrivals (and resto’s) were present that were not here for the last expo 2yrs ago, and not forgetting all the Aussie Valiant’s also ready for the sun and show were on the field, including a few recent arrivals from the east coast and one awkward and lonely BMW with a 318 V8 nestled in the front opening were a much smaller motor used to sit (cant wait to see that one ready for the street!)
With help from club members and there friends and family, the day went off without a hitch, which considering the heat, was a welcome relief. with a few traders around the oval plus the canteen and later the bar operating, it was well worth the effort to attend and see what the Mopar brigade had been doing over the last year or so since our last big cruise get together, definitely getting my dodge fixed sooner!!
because of the heat and helping out i didnt go spastic with the camera (as even it was getting hot to the touch just standing outside!) so not as many photos as usual, but still a good cross section of what was there on the day..if you wanted to see more you should’ve come!!
and thats the Expo done for another 2yrs. till the next super cruise, catchya later 😉
